Description

The Atomos Shinobi 7 is a 7-inch on-camera production monitor with a 2200-nit daylight-viewable display at 1920×1200 resolution, accepting both HDMI and 12G-SDI input with cross-conversion between the two. Brightness at that level is the whole point: it stays readable on an exterior shoot in full Mediterranean sun, where a standard 400-nit monitor becomes a mirror. It offers HDR monitoring, 3D LUT loading, waveform, vectorscope, false colour, focus peaking and frame guides, and runs on standard NP-F batteries. Being a monitor rather than a recorder, it stays light on a gimbal or a handheld rig where every gram matters. Used as a director’s monitor, a focus puller’s reference and an on-camera display.
