Description

The RODE Blimp MKII is a complete suspension and windshield system for shotgun microphones, combining a rigid acoustic-transparent basket, a Rycote Lyre suspension mount and a Dead Wombat furry cover, with an integrated pistol grip and a detachable boom pole mount. The Lyre suspension isolates the microphone from handling noise transmitted through the grip and the pole, while the basket and furry cover together suppress wind noise well enough to record usable dialogue outdoors in the coastal wind that is a constant on Mediterranean locations. It accepts most short shotgun microphones up to 320 mm. Essential for exterior dialogue, documentary and location sound.
