Description

The Profoto Deep Silver umbrella, large, 130 cm, is a deep parabolic reflective umbrella and one of the most efficient large modifiers in the Profoto system. The parabolic depth places the flash head inside the umbrella rather than at its mouth, which collimates the output: the light stays soft but remains directional, so it can be flagged, gridded and kept off the background, which a shallow umbrella cannot. The silver interior returns roughly a stop more than white. Fitted with the Profoto diffuser it becomes a full soft source; without it, a bright, punchy, contrasty one. Used for fashion and portrait work.
