The Profoto Beauty Dish in the silver version is a shallow parabolic reflector that produces the distinctive quality this modifier is named for: light harder than a softbox, with a bright specular core and a fast, flattering falloff at the edge of the frame. The silver interior makes the output more contrasty and more specular than the white version, which sharpens catchlights and defines cheekbone and jawline structure, and it delivers roughly a stop more output for the same power.
