Description

The Profoto Octa 4 is a 120 cm octabox supplied with speed ring, the size specified when the subject is half-length or full-length and the key must wrap rather than merely illuminate. Increasing a source from 90 to 120 cm changes the character noticeably at the same distance: the shadow edge lengthens, the falloff slows, and the light begins to behave like a window rather than a lamp. The octagonal shape gives a round catchlight, and the box accepts a honeycomb grid for spill control, which becomes necessary at this size. Used for fashion, portrait and advertising photography.
