Description

The Manfrotto Mega Boom is the largest of the Manfrotto boom arms, extending further and carrying heavier fixtures than the Super Boom. It is used to fly an HMI, a large softbox or a full frame over a set from a single base, keeping the floor clear for camera and talent. The counterweight sled runs along the rear section so the load is balanced rather than cantilevered, and the head can be re-aimed by one grip without striking the stand. Requires a heavy-duty base and sandbagging appropriate to the load.
