Description

The Aputure CF12 Fresnel is a large Fresnel lens attachment for high-output Bowens-mount LED fixtures, converting a broad COB source into a focusable beam with the hard, defined shadow that only a Fresnel produces. Focusing the lens changes the beam from a tight spot to a wide flood without moving the fixture, and at the spot end it multiplies intensity substantially, which is what allows an LED to punch through a window at distance or reach a subject from outside a set. Hard light with a clean shadow edge is exactly what a diffused LED panel cannot deliver, which is why a Fresnel remains a separate and necessary tool.
