Description

The FUJINON GF 63mm f/2.8 R WR is the standard prime of the Fujifilm GFX medium format system, equivalent to about 50mm in 35mm terms, and the natural first lens for a GFX body. It is compact and light for a medium format optic at roughly 405 g, which makes it the lens that stays mounted for handheld and documentary work, and it focuses to 0.5 m. Weather-resistant sealing at ten points allows shooting outdoors in poor conditions, and the aperture ring provides direct manual control. The f/2.8 aperture on the larger sensor produces the shallow depth of field and gradual tonal transitions that photographers choose medium format for.
