Description

The NiSi Professional True Color ND-Vario is an 82 mm variable neutral density filter with a 1 to 5 stop range and hard end stops that prevent the cross-polarisation banding a poorly built variable ND produces at extreme settings. Its purpose is to hold a wide aperture and a 180-degree shutter in bright daylight, which is what keeps motion blur natural and depth of field shallow when exteriors are lit by Mediterranean sun. Being variable, it replaces a set of fixed NDs and allows exposure to be adjusted continuously while the camera is rolling. The True Color coating keeps the image neutral across the whole range.
