The Chimera Pancake Lantern with Profoto ring is a flat, disc-shaped lantern that produces very soft, even, downward light from a shallow profile. That geometry is the point: a conventional lantern is a sphere and needs headroom, while a pancake can be rigged tight to a low ceiling in a location interior and still deliver a large soft source.
