Description

The NiSi 4 x 5.65 neutral density filter set covers 3, 6 and 9 stops of light reduction for use in a professional matte box. Neutral density is what allows a cinematographer to hold a chosen aperture and a 180-degree shutter angle in bright daylight instead of stopping down and losing the depth of field the shot was designed around. Three densities cover the practical range from open shade to full Mediterranean sun on a white surface, and they can be combined for longer exposures. NiSi’s coating holds neutrality without the colour cast that forces a correction in grading. Used on every exterior narrative and commercial shoot.
