The Dana Dolly Polaris portable camera dolly is a rail-based dolly system that replaces the weight and setup time of a traditional dolly with a compact universal carriage running on standard speed rail. The rails can be supported on stands, on apple boxes or directly on the ground, which is what makes the system work in locations no conventional dolly can reach: narrow historic streets, interiors with fragile floors, rooftops and coastal terrain. The carriage takes a full cinema camera package on a fluid head, and the movement is smooth enough to hold at long focal lengths. Used for tracking shots, reveals and controlled parallax moves.
