Description

The Tilta T12 is a carbon fibre matte box for 4 x 5.65 filters, combining a 15 mm rod-mounted or clip-on configuration with adjustable French flags and side wings. Its two jobs are to hold cine filters in front of the lens and to stop stray light from striking the front element, which is the cause of the veiling flare that flattens contrast on backlit exteriors. Carbon fibre construction keeps the weight low enough for gimbal and handheld builds where a metal matte box would unbalance the rig. It accepts rotating filter stages for polarisers. Used with cine primes and zooms on narrative and commercial production.
