The Photek Sunbuster 84 inch kit is a seven-foot umbrella-based soft source, supplied complete with the diffusion cover. At this diameter, placed close to the subject, it becomes an almost sourceless light: the falloff across a standing figure is negligible and the shadow edge nearly disappears, which is the quality high-end fashion and advertising work is usually after. Being an umbrella rather than a softbox it opens in seconds and packs down into a tube, which is what makes a source this size usable on location at all. Requires a solid stand and, outdoors, sandbags.
