Description

The Aputure Lantern 90 cm is the large spherical soft modifier for Bowens-mount LED fixtures, producing 360-degree light with no discernible direction and an extremely gradual falloff. Its function on set is to establish an ambient base level across a whole room from one overhead point, so that performers can move freely without the lighting having to be re-set for every position. The removable skirt panels convert it into a downward-only source when the ceiling, the background or a nearby wall must stay unlit. At 90 cm it covers a substantially larger area than the 66 cm version. Used for narrative interiors, interviews and commercial sets.
