The Westcott Scrim Jim Cine 8×8 kit builds a 244×244 cm modular frame from tubular aluminium sections, supplied with a 3/4-stop diffusion fabric and a reversible silver/white bounce. At this size the frame becomes a genuine key-light source for two or three people, softening an HMI or a large LED to window quality, or bouncing daylight back into a shaded face. It breaks down into a single padded bag, which is why it travels on location jobs where a traditional 8×8 butterfly and its stands would be impractical.
