Nanlux Evoke 5000B: 5000 W of LED that stays out in the rain
The Nanlux Evoke 5000B has joined the lighting inventory, supplied with the 30° reflector. It is the first bi-colour LED spotlight at this power level to offer green/magenta adjustment, and it draws 5000 W on European mains.
Output reaches 555,250 lux at one metre at 5600 K — illuminance approaching a 9 kW HMI or a 24 kW tungsten fixture, from a single unit with no ballast to rig separately and no warm-up.
Colour you can put a number on
The Nebula B4 light engine covers 2700 K to 6500 K with ±80 green/magenta adjustment across the whole range. Colour accuracy is CRI 97, TLCI 98, TM-30 Rf 96 / Rg 102.
The green/magenta control is the part that matters on a mixed set. Bi-colour LEDs traditionally drift magenta in the middle of the range and green at the extremes; being able to correct that means the fixture can be matched to practicals, to daylight through a window, or to another manufacturer’s lights — instead of being fixed in the grade.
Dimming is continuous to 0.1% steps, and High-Speed Mode holds flicker-free output at up to 10,000 frames per second.
Built for weather
The housing is high-strength magnesium alloy, rated IP66. That is a genuine stormproof rating: the fixture stays out in rain and wind rather than coming in when the weather turns.
For productions working on the Amalfi Coast, on Capri or on any exposed location where the schedule cannot move, that changes what can be committed to.
The redesigned fan system has five modes with a Smart Mode that adjusts cooling to ambient temperature, holding noise at 44 dB(A) — quiet enough to work near a sound recordist.
On set
The all-in-one design weighs about 43 kg, with a balance adjusting rail, a yoke with disc brake, a skid and the PosiTight system. Control is on-board through a 4.3-inch display with three knobs, or remotely over DMX/RDM, Art-Net/sACN, LumenRadio CRMX and the Nanlink 2.0 app.
The NL mount takes the Nanlux modifier system. We also carry the FL-45E motorised Fresnel for this fixture: a 45 cm lens with a 16°-50° zoom, controllable from the light, by cable, by DMX or from the app. At 16° it lifts output to 79,500 lux at five metres.
