The Nanlux Evoke 2400B has joined the lighting inventory with its 45° reflector. It draws 2400 W and delivers over 300,000 lux at one metre with that reflector — output beyond a 4 kW HMI or a 10 kW tungsten source.
What the numbers do not show is what changes on set: no preheating, no cool-down before it can be moved, no flicker, and dimming from 0 to 100% in tenths of a percent with linear or S-curve response.
The green/magenta control, and why it exists
The Evoke 2400B covers 2700 K to 6500 K with ±80 green/magenta across the entire range, and colour accuracy of CRI 96 / TLCI 97.
Nanlux is direct about the problem this solves. Traditional bi-colour LEDs mix two chip arrays to reach a colour temperature, which leaves the middle of the range slightly magenta and the extremes slightly green. The green/magenta adjustment corrects that, keeping the output on the Planck curve.
In practice it does two jobs: it matches the fixture to whatever else is lighting the scene — practicals, window light, another brand’s heads — and it lets a warm or cool tint be added deliberately, to lift a skin tone or push an atmosphere, rather than being discovered in post.
Weather and weight
Both the head and the power supply are IP55 rated, so the fixture works on exposed locations rather than only under cover.
The head weighs 15 kg, the yoke 2 kg and the power supply 11.6 kg — light for this output, and it splits into pieces one person can carry up the stairs of a building where a 4 kW HMI would need a crew and a lift.
Control
On-board, or over DMX/RDM, wired DMX, the NANLINK app, LumenRadio CRMX and Bluetooth. The NL mount takes the Nanlux modifier system, and we also carry the FL-35E Fresnel for this fixture.
